Over the coming months, we will be continuing investigations of utility services at multiple locations on South Road and adjacent roads along the River Torrens to Darlington Project alignment to help inform the final design.

Location and timing

Night works investigations will begin in your area from mid-June and are expected to continue for approximately 2 months. We will be carrying out investigations at the following locations:

  • South Road between Anzac Highway and Margaret Street, Glandore.
  • This will include works at the intersections of Orchard Avenue, Hale Street, Eurilpa Avenue, Forest Street, Norman Terrace, Forest Avenue, Addison Road, Byron Road and Cowper Road, Black Forest and Glengyle Terrace, Nottingham Crescent, Maude Street, Pleasant Avenue, Glengarry Avenue and Gertrude Street, Glandore.

To ensure works can be completed as efficiently as possible and to minimise impacts on traffic, works will be carried out at night Sunday to Thursday between 7pm and 6am.

In the event these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control, we will update this notification.  Additional utility service investigation works will be required in other areas along South Road. You will receive notifications relating to other works in your area closer to the date.

Traffic restrictions

  • Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.
  • Short-term lane and footpath closures will be required to complete this work.

What to expect

During works, you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration caused by excavation works.
