The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project is the final 10.5 km section of South Australia’s world-class multi-billion-dollar North-South Corridor. In the coming weeks the Department for Transport and Infrastructure will be undertaking ground investigations in your area as part of the early works for the next stage of the Project. This will help us to develop a comprehensive picture of the underlying soil and ground water conditions along the South Road corridor.

Location and timing

We will be carrying out investigations at Rosslyn Street, Mile End South.
Investigations works are expected to begin Monday 22 May for approximately 2-4 hours and Wednesday 24 May for approximately 1 hour. The works will be carried out between 7am and 6pm. In the event that these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control, we will advise you as soon as we have details.

Traffic restrictions

  • Rosslyn Street will be closed at the corner of South Road.
  • Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Local access will be maintained via a detour to William Street or Sir Donald Bradman Drive.
  • Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.
  • Driveway access at locations adjacent to the works will be maintained for the
    duration.

What to expect

During works you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration.
