Over the next few months, we will be undertaking direct investigations of utility services on various main roads and side streets along the River Torrens to Darlington Project alignment to help inform the final design.

Location and timing
Investigations are expected to commence on Monday 30 January for approximately 3 weeks.
We will be carrying out investigations at the following locations between Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Hilton and Anzac Highway, Ashford. We only expect to be at each location for a short period of time:

  • Deacon Ave, Richmond
  • James Congdon Dr, Mile End South
  • Fleet Street, Richmond
  • Stuart Road, Richmond
  • Main Terrace, Richmond
  • London Road, Mile End South
  • Manchester Street Mile End South
  • Birmingham St, Mile End South
  • John Street, Marleston
  • George Street, Marleston
  • Stirling Street, Marleston
  • Barwell Ave, Keswick
  • Everard Ave, Ashford


Works will be carried out Monday to Saturday between 7am and 6pm. In the event that these works need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control, we will update this notification.

Traffic restrictions

  • Temporary traffic and speed restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works.
  • Signage will be in place to alert road users to the changes in traffic conditions. Road users are advised to take care when travelling through the area.
  • Short-term lane and footpath closures will be required to complete this work.


What to expect
During works, you may notice additional ground and traffic management personnel and equipment within the area. Some disturbances can be expected such as noise, dust and vibration caused by short-term pavement coring and excavation works.
